The RENAULT Group designs, engineers, manufactures and sells passenger and light commercial vehicles throughout the world in 118 countries under its three brands – Renault, Dacia and Renault-Samsung Motors. The RENAULT Group employs more than 120, 000 people worldwide and is accelerating its international development based on an Alliance with Nissan since 1999, and a strategic partnership with AvtoVaz in Russia since 2008. At the end of 2007 the Renault-Nissan Alliance has announced a massive deployment of electric vehicles using Li-ion batteries, and four models of electric cars were presented at the Paris Mondial de l’Automobile in October 2010 for sales starting in 2011. Up to more than 50 partnership agreements have been signed worldwide with private companies and local public authorities in order to mass market fully electric vehicles with the appropriate charging infrastructure. GIE REGIENOV (Renault Recherche Innovation) is a French EIG, acting on behalf of RENAULT SAS and its subsidiaries, in particular RENAULT SPORTS and SOMAC. Its main mission is to implement the research, advanced engineering and innovation strategy of the whole RENAULT Group.
